Dr. med. Jan-Sebastian Schlenzig was born in 1961 at Frankenthal.
Having completed his gymnasium schooling at the European School in Luxembourg he studied Philosophy and Philology at the Freie Universität in Berlin and the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem. He completed his medical education with an experimental dissertation in neurology. His assistant doctor years he spent at the Frankfurt university and Hospital Necker in Paris, France, concentrating on paediatrics, biochemistry and genetics.

From 2000 onwards when he opened his own medical practice for private patients he concentrated on the development of newly designed therapy concepts on basis of the CITERA technology.
